Judge Patrick Carr

Iowa Court of Appeals

Patrick Carr served on Iowa’s Judicial District 3A from 1995 until his retirement on July 31, 2017. He assumed senior judge status in the 3rd District and the Iowa Court of Appeals.

Born in Des Moines, Carr earned his undergraduate degree from University of Iowa in 1972 and his law degree from Drake Law School in 1975.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, Carr worked in private practice and served as Assistant County Attorney in Pottawattamie County and Clay County. Carr is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association and the Iowa Judges Association.
